Job description

Build and maintain cloud-native systems supporting mission operations

Readily adapt to evolving requirements; stay current on emerging technologies; help evaluate and implement new tools and platforms to enhance system capability

Requirements

Experience with Linux (Red Hat and CentOS preferred)

Enterprise services - Active Directory, LDAP, DNS
System security, hardening, and accreditation (e.g., DCID 6/3, ICD-503)
Automated OS and cloud infrastructure deployment
Cloud virtualization
Configuration and administration of NAT, DNS, LDAP, NIS, NFS, iptables, FreeIPA
System performance monitoring and tuning
Design, execution, and monitoring of system backup plans
Scripting and automation (Bash, csh, Perl, Ruby, Python, Expect)
Automation of repetitive administrative tasks
Foundational knowledge of switching, routing, IP addressing, and networking
Experience with multicast
Ability to train others on system maintenance procedures
Source code control - use and administration (CVS, Subversion, Git)
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Gluster, Ceph

Education

Bachelor’s degree in a computer-related discipline preferred but not mandatory; relevant work experience may be substituted.

Security Clearance

TS/SCI with the ability to obtain a CI polygraph after starting in role.

Shadowgate Partners is seeking a Cloud Systems Engineer for our client, who for over 40 years, has been a leading provider of Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) and specialized communications systems to the Intelligence Community, with deep expertise across strategic and tactical missions.

This is a fully funded position with the client serving as prime on the contract, available for immediate start. This role is 100% onsite at the client’s facility either in Fairfax, VA or Denver, CO.
