Job description
As a Business Data Analyst in our Energy Management Consulting team, you will contribute to projects for leading energy companies, investors, developers, industrial players and public-sector clients. You will help clients understand market developments, assess commercial opportunities, and influence strategic and investment decisions.
Depending on your previous experience, you may initially take on a senior Analyst role, with the opportunity to grow over time into more client-facing and consulting-oriented responsibilities.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting energy market studies, commercial due diligences, strategic reviews and investment-related advisory work
- Carrying out quantitative and qualitative analyses to answer complex client questions
- Researching energy market developments, regulatory changes, technology trends and competitor dynamics
- Supporting market reporting, price outlooks, market modelling and data-driven energy market analysis
- Assessing opportunities and risks across renewables, battery storage, hydrogen and wider decarbonization topics such as CCUS
- Translating complex analysis into clear recommendations for senior executives, investors and decision-makers
- Preparing high-quality presentations, reports and client-ready materials
- Working closely with experienced consultants on challenging projects at management level
- Contributing to international project teams across offices, markets and disciplines
- Participating in client meetings and workshops and progressively taking on more responsibility
Requirements
We are looking to enlarge our diverse multi-disciplinary team with young professionals with real passion and curiosity for the energy transition. The ideal candidate will be or have experience in the following:
- You have an excellent academic degree preferably with a strong IT or information systems background
- You have strong analytical and communication skills and the ability to convey complex information in a clear and logical way
- You work thoroughly, have an eye for details and have excellent MS Office skills, especially Excel
- Proficient in data analysis, modelling and visualization and are familiar with relational databases and related programming languages
- You have a high affinity for the energy sector or already gained first experience in the energy industry
- Excellent German and English skills are required, further languages are advantageous
- It is important that you enjoy working in teams, often across national borders
- Above all, you have a pro-active and business-oriented mindset, the ability to take ownership, as well as a passion for helping our clients
