AI Solutions Engineer

Sure Steel is seeking a full-time AI Solutions Engineer to design, build, and deploy internal software tools, AI-powered automations, and enterprise system integrations that streamline and elevate our operational workflows. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, loves solving complex problems, and enjoys working closely with end-users across field crews, project managers, and office teams. Travel requirements are negligible, with occasional on-site visits for user testing and rollout support., As an AI Solutions Engineer, you will be responsible for developing high-impact internal tools and intelligent automations that improve efficiency, accuracy, and collaboration across the organization. You will work hands-on with stakeholders to understand operational challenges, rapidly prototype solutions, iterate based on feedback, and support successful adoption.

You will own projects end-to-end - from architecture and development to deployment and optimization - while ensuring systems are secure, scalable, and aligned with business needs., * Design, build, and deploy custom internal software tools that support operational workflows.

• Develop AI-powered automations to streamline repetitive tasks and enhance decision-making.
• Integrate enterprise systems such as ERP, HRIS, project management platforms, and other internal tools.
• Conduct rapid prototyping, gather user feedback, and iterate quickly to deliver practical solutions.
• Collaborate closely with field crews, project managers, and office teams to understand real-world challenges.
• Provide rollout support, including training, documentation, and troubleshooting.
• Maintain strong cybersecurity practices and ensure compliance with internal security standards.
• Architect and manage databases, APIs, and system integrations.
• Apply AI-assisted development techniques to accelerate delivery and improve code quality.
• Own projects from concept to completion with a focus on iterative delivery and continuous improvement.

Do you have experience in User training (technical support)?, * Experience building internal business tools or workflow automation solutions.

• Strong background in enterprise system integrations (ERP, HRIS, project management systems, etc.).
• Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and secure development practices.
• Experience with database architecture, systems engineering, and API design.
• Proficiency in full-stack software development (front-end + back-end).
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and modern AI frameworks.
• Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems with creativity and ownership.
• Comfortable working in an iterative, fast-moving environment with evolving requirements.
