Job description

The Change/Release Manager will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end management of change and incident processes within the organization. This role requires a strong understanding of ITIL processes and excellent communication skills to effectively coordinate with various stakeholders. The ideal candidate will ensure that all changes are implemented smoothly and incidents are resolved promptly, minimizing disruption to business operations. Responsibilities:

  • Lead the change management process, ensuring all changes are assessed, approved, and communicated effectively.
  • Manage the incident management process, ensuring timely resolution and communication of incidents to stakeholders.
  • Facilitate change advisory board (CAB) meetings to review and approve proposed changes.
  • Develop and maintain change and incident management documentation, including policies, procedures, and reports.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure that changes are implemented according to best practices and within agreed timelines.
  • Monitor and report on change and incident metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Provide training and support to team members on change and incident management processes.
  • Act as a point of contact for all change and incident-related inquiries.
  • Continuously improve change and incident management processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Proven expertise in change management processes and methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of ITIL framework and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with incident management tools and software.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies.
  • Familiarity with IT service management (ITSM) concepts.
  • Certifications in ITIL or change management are a plus., A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field is required. Relevant certifications in change management or ITIL are highly desirable. The candidate should possess a strong understanding of IT operations and a proven track record in managing change and incident processes.
