Job description

Design and build backend systems, APIs, and cloud infrastructure
Deliver production-ready AI systems with monitoring, scaling, and reliability built in
Work with AI infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and operational tooling
Contribute to architecture decisions and platform engineering
Collaborate with Forward Deployed Engineers and Digital Intelligence Engineers
Improve observability, testing, security, and production operations
Mentor mid-level engineers and contribute to engineering standards

Requirements

5+ years building production backend systems and APIs
Strong hands-on engineering skills with Python or similar backend technologies
Experience operating production systems in cloud environments
Hands-on with containerisation, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code
Strong understanding of databases and system design
Experience implementing security controls in production environments
Interest in AI systems and enterprise AI deployment
Ability to work independently and contribute to technical direction

Nice to Have:

Experience in regulated industries such as pharma, insurance, or financial services
Experience with AI infrastructure, model serving, or ML pipelines
Kubernetes and container orchestration at scale
Experience with observability and distributed systems
