Job description

Our client, a leading entity in the Defence & Security sector, is looking for a Mission Planning Systems Architect to join their team. This permanent role requires a dynamic individual who will play a key part in designing the Mission Planning system for the next generation of strike weapons across air and maritime domains. The successful candidate will work onsite 3-5 days per week due to workload classification and will need to meet security clearance requirements as a British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship., * Collaborate with design teams to evolve and capture system design using MBSE principles

  • Generate and review architecture artefacts
  • Contribute to engineering milestones and key design reviews
  • Ensure best model practices are followed and designs are complete, coherent and drive development
  • Work with wider Weapon Systems teams to ensure traceability
  • Drive commonality and re-use across product lines

Requirements

  • Experience in systems architecture and using Model Based Systems Engineering
  • Proficiency with modelling tools such as Rhapsody or equivalents, configuration control tools like EWM, and requirements management tools such as DOORS Next Gen
  • Solid understanding of SysML and architectural principles
  • Desire to work within a complex problem space across product lines
  • Ability to communicate and engage positively with cross-functional teams
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of Mission Planning is useful but not essential
