What You’ll Do
- Support and maintain mission-critical IBM i / AS400 business applications
- Troubleshoot production issues, including record locks and data integrity concerns
- Modify, maintain, and enhance RPG II and RPG400 applications
- Gradually modernize legacy System/36 applications and convert older programs to current technologies
- Support the company’s migration to IBM Power9 hardware
- Work directly with end users to troubleshoot issues and improve business processes
- Coordinate with a third-party managed services provider on infrastructure-related needs
- Maintain system documentation, software licensing, and security standards
- Travel occasionally to other company locations as needed
Technology Environment

- IBM i / AS400

- CL Programming
- Manufacturing business applications
- Windows 10/11
- Microsoft Office
Requirements
- 5+ years of IBM i / AS400 experience
- Strong RPG II, RPG400, System/36, and CL programming skills
- Experience supporting manufacturing or distribution business applications
- Experience troubleshooting and supporting production environments
- Ability to modernize and enhance legacy applications
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work directly with business users
- Self-motivated with excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
