Job description

As a Power BI Developer, you will design, develop, and optimize business intelligence solutions that transform data into actionable insights. You will work closely with business stakeholders and data teams to gather requirements, build scalable data models, and deliver high quality dashboards and reports that support decision making and operational efficiency., * Gather and analyze business requirements for reporting and visualization needs.

  • Design and develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
  • Build reusable semantic data models and implement row level and column level security.
  • Connect and integrate data from multiple sources including APIs, databases, and cloud platforms.
  • Develop DAX calculations, measures, and calculated columns for analytics.
  • Create interactive dashboards and reports with advanced visualization features.
  • Optimize performance of Power BI reports and underlying data models.
  • Publish and manage reports in Power BI Service, including access control and refresh schedules.

Requirements

  • Strong experience developing Power BI dashboards and data models.
  • Proficiency with DAX, Power Query, and data visualization best practices.
  • Experience working with SQL, APIs, and multiple data sources.
  • Strong Excel skills including advanced formulas and pivot tables.
  • Experience implementing data security within Power BI models.
  • Ability to analyze and optimize reporting performance.
  • Experience working with Azure DevOps or similar version control tools.
  • Strong communication skills for working with technical and non technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to translate complex data insights into actionable business recommendations.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with ArcGIS integrations or geospatial data visualization.
  • Familiarity with cloud data platforms and streaming datasets.
  • Experience leveraging AI tools to enhance analytics and reporting workflows.
