Job description

We are seeking an experienced Product Owner - Healthcare Data Platform to support a leading healthcare client. This role will own the product roadmap and lifecycle for a cloud-native clinical data platform built on AWS.

The ideal candidate will have experience with healthcare data platforms, interoperability standards (HL7/FHIR), AWS cloud technologies, and Agile product management. The Product Owner will work closely with clinical stakeholders, engineering teams, data scientists, compliance teams, and business leaders to define and deliver scalable healthcare data platform capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Own and prioritize the product roadmap for a healthcare clinical data platform.
  • Gather, analyze, and translate business and clinical requirements into well-defined user stories, features, and product backlogs.
  • Collaborate with engineering, architecture, clinical, data science, and compliance teams throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Drive healthcare interoperability initiatives involving HL7 v2, CDA/CCDA, and FHIR standards.
  • Partner with AI/ML teams to support healthcare data quality improvements, analytics capabilities, and intelligent data solutions.
  • Work with AWS-native cloud services supporting clinical data ingestion, processing, integration, and analytics.
  • Lead Agile ceremonies including backlog grooming, sprint planning, release planning, and product demos.
  • Define product success metrics, KPIs, and adoption strategies.
  • Ensure platform capabilities align with healthcare security, HIPAA compliance, data governance, and audit requirements.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Technical Product Owner, or Product Manager.
  • 3+ years of experience working with healthcare data platforms, healthcare interoperability, or clinical technology products.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare interoperability standards including HL7 v2, FHIR, CDA/CCDA.
  • Knowledge of healthcare terminology standards including LOINC, SNOMED CT, RxNorm, and ICD.
  • Experience working with AWS cloud technologies and modern data platforms.
  • Experience managing Agile product delivery using tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and requirements-gathering skills., * Experience supporting AI/ML-enabled healthcare products or data platforms.
  • Experience integrating healthcare interfaces using Mirth Connect, Cloverleaf, Rhapsody, or similar interface engines.
  • Exposure to modern data architectures including Snowflake, Databricks, or Lakehouse platforms.
  • Familiarity with AWS, Scrum Product Owner, or HL7 certifications is a plus., * Product management: 6 years (Required)
