Job description

We are seeking a skilled RabbitMQ Engineer to support an IRS program. The ideal candidate will have experience managing RabbitMQ environments and supporting enterprise messaging solutions. Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain RabbitMQ environments.

  • Manage queues, exchanges, users, permissions, and messaging services.

  • Monitor system health and resolve messaging issues.

  • Work with development teams to support application integrations.

  • Perform upgrades, maintenance, and performance tuning.

  • Ensure messaging systems meet security and reliability standards.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with RabbitMQ.

  • Strong understanding of AMQP and messaging concepts.

  • Experience with RabbitMQ clustering and high availability.

  • Knowledge of Linux and scripting.

  • Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.

  • Active IRS MBI clearance is required.

  • Previous IRS or federal experience is preferred.
