MATLAB Python Engineer

• Working proficiency in MATLAB and Python (not just with LLMs)
• Interest in predictive neural networks / machine learning (LSTM experience a plus, but not essential)
• A degree (not necessary with good programming background) in engineering, computer engineering or a similarly quantitative field
• Mathematical and Dataset Knowledge - comfort with the math behind the models, large csv data inputs, not just the code
• Details:
• Contract role with ongoing, long-term work AND stock for the right person
• Hybrid - remote-friendly, but able to meet in person in the Twin Cities 1-2×/week early on
• Must communicate clearly in English; principals only, no agencies

ProfitVest AI, a Twin Cities-based, well-funded AI investment software company that uses daily predictive AI. We are seeking an engineer to help maintain and extend our neural-network modeling platforms (both MATLAB & Python) and support its ongoing migration from MATLAB to Python.

We own 4 AI computers with Nvidia GPUs. They are used for development, testing and daily market predictions.

Our system runs LSTM (LSTM experience a plus, but not essential) predictive neural networks on dedicated NVIDIA GPU infrastructure to generate directional signals across financial markets. You’d work directly with our founding team on model development, testing, and code modernization.
