Enterprise Architect

The objective of this assignment is to professionalize data exchange between internal

applications and external systems by implementing a centralized data layer. In addition, the

consultant will contribute to the definition of a future-state enterprise architecture aligned

with broader digital transformation initiatives.

As the required expertise is not available internally, an experienced consultant is sought to

lead this assignment.

Objectives

The Enterprise Architect will be responsible for creating an inventory of applications

developed using Microsoft technologies (SharePoint, Active Directory, Power BI, Power Apps

and Power Automate), as well as other applications involved in data exchange.

The consultant will map all internal and external data flows, including integrations with

government services, business partners and other external systems. A significant portion of

these data flows is stored within an existing data warehouse environment.

Based on this assessment, the consultant will propose a target architecture for a centralized

data layer that simplifies data exchange between applications.

This centralized approach will:

• Improve reporting by consolidating and integrating data from multiple sources.

• Simplify data exchanges across applications.

• Support enterprise-wide digital transformation initiatives.

• Improve the overall enterprise architecture and information management strategy.

Responsibilities

Business Architecture

• Define and establish the business architecture linking business requirements with the

application and data landscape.

• Support tactical and strategic decision-making.

Application Architecture

• Analyse and document the current (AS-IS) application landscape.

• Design the future (TO-BE) application architecture.

Data Architecture

• Analyse and document existing data flows and integrations.

• Identify relationships between applications and propose improvements through a

centralized data layer.

• Take existing Azure Data Warehouse and Power BI architecture into account.

• Collaborate with software architects, data teams and enterprise stakeholders.

Architecture Governance

• Analyse the current documentation.

• Define an action plan to improve architectural documentation.

• Identify architectural gaps, synergies and optimization opportunities.

• Align the enterprise architecture with broader transformation initiatives.

• Strong experience as an Enterprise Architect.

• Strong expertise in Enterprise Architecture.

• Strong experience in Data & Services Architecture.

• Experience with Microsoft technologies including SharePoint, Active Directory, Power

BI, Power Apps and Power Automate.

• Experience with Azure Data Warehouse.

• Experience analysing complex application landscapes.

• Experience designing enterprise and data architectures.

• Experience within the public sector is highly valued.

• Knowledge of the asylum and migration domain is considered an asset.

• Dutch: professional working proficiency.
