Deskside Support Technician - Mannheim

As a Deskside Support Technician (d/f/m) - Level 1, you will provide hands-on technical support to end users within a dynamic enterprise environment. You will deliver IMAC activities, break-fix services, device imaging, and support shop-floor operational hardware. This is a fully onsite role supporting a manufacturing environment in Mannheim. Based on this role’s business requirements, this is an onsite position requiring 5 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Mannheim, Baden-Württemberg . Key Responsibilities End-User & Device Support Perform IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change) tasks. Handle break-fix issues for desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals. Provide onsite end-user support for hardware, software, and business applications. Manufacturing Shop-Floor Support Support handhelds, rugged devices, laptops, scanners, and other shop-floor technology. Data Collection & Migration Support Execute data collection and preservation activities for system migrations and eDiscovery . System Setup & Configuration Stage, build, and image end-user systems using standard corporate image (eCore). Ensure proper configuration and handover to users.

Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with end users. Proficiency in German to collaborate with German-speaking teams and clients ( Language level C1-C2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)) Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Minimum 2 years deskside or field support experience . Strong working knowledge of MS Windows OS . Working knowledge of MS Office and standard business software. Good customer support orientation and professionalism.
