Job description

Drive end-to-end customer implementations for DHL’s OMS solutions-ensuring operational readiness, on-time and in-scope delivery, robust stakeholder engagement, and sustained performance post-go-live. The role blends project and implementation management to maximize customer satisfaction, adoption, and value realization.

Principal accountabilities

Implementation & Project Delivery

  • Lead and/or coordinate end-to-end implementation plans (scope, schedule, cost, quality), managing multiple workstreams and projects at varying stages.

  • Develop and manage detailed project schedules and work plans; communicate timely updates and escalations; manage scope changes and risks with clear mitigation.

  • Conduct/coordinate UAT to validate operational workflows and system setup prior to go-live.

  • Prepare and maintain project documentation (plans/issue logs) throughout the lifecycle.

Operational Readiness & Systems

  • Own operational readiness checklists and system configuration tracking; coordinate with IT on development/configuration before implementation.

  • Develop and manage detailed project schedules and work plans; communicate timely updates and escalations; manage scope changes and risks with clear mitigation.

  • Create, maintain, and govern SOPs and supporting documentation; provide end-user training, demos, and knowledge transfer.

  • Stay current on OMS product capabilities and relevant visibility platforms (e.g., CargoWise, Infor Nexus) to advise fit-gap and solution design trade-offs.

Stakeholder & Customer Management

  • Serve as the focal point for customers and internal stakeholders during implementation; ensure productive relationships and effective two-way expectation setting.

  • Facilitate cross-regional coordination to meet customer operational expectations; deliver customer-facing presentations and training as needed.

Continuous Improvement & Best Practices

  • Champion adoption of OMS and DePICT project/implementation practices; contribute tools/templates that increase delivery velocity and consistency.

  • Apply formal evaluation techniques (e.g., time-motion studies, process mapping) to streamline processes; capture and share lessons learned across geographies.

  • Identify, initiate, and track CI opportunities post-go-live/during hyper-care to enhance service levels and optimize cost-to-serve.

Requirements

  • Project/implementation management

  • Expertise in key elements: Integration, Scope, Schedule,Cost, Quality, Issue Managgement & Stakeholder Communications

  • OMS domain knowledge

  • Visibility platforms (CargoWise, Infor Nexus)

  • MS Excel/Word/PowerPoint

  • Process mapping (e.g. Visio)

  • Comfortable with DePICT (or similar PM frameworks/tools)

  • Building implementation tools/templates to improve efficiency.

Qualifications & Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant business or technical subject
  • 7+ years in logistics/supply chain (incl. freight forwarding and PO management), with 3-5+ years in project/implementation management.
  • Direct exposure to customer-facing implementations and collaboration with global teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Fluent English language skills, both written and spoken.
  • Team-oriented, resilient, flexible, and able to work effectively in an international environment.
  • Added advantages: PMP / CSM /PRINCE2
