Job description

Altrad are currently looking for an experienced Senior Infrastructure Manager to join the team.

The sector seeks talented professionals dedicated to upholding the highest standards of safety, security, and operational excellence., As a Senior Infrastructure Manager, you will provide strategic oversight of critical infrastructure programmes, ensuring assets support safe, secure, and effective operations. Acting as the intelligent customer for infrastructure delivery, you will work closely with stakeholders, engineering teams, and delivery partners to ensure infrastructure projects meet operational requirements and align with wider programme objectives. You will play a key role throughout the infrastructure lifecycle, supporting governance, compliance, planning, and successful project delivery.

Key Deliverables:

  • Provide assurance that infrastructure supports safe, secure, and effective operational requirements.
  • Act as the intelligent customer for infrastructure projects, ensuring business needs are clearly defined and met.
  • Oversee infrastructure activities throughout the project lifecycle, including construction, commissioning, handover, and operational acceptance.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align infrastructure capability with current and future operational priorities.
  • Support governance and assurance activities to ensure infrastructure complies with relevant standards and procedures.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with delivery partners and supply chain organisations to support successful project outcomes.
  • Ensure infrastructure programmes remain aligned with wider organisational objectives.
  • Provide regular progress updates and reports to senior stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Experience managing infrastructure, engineering, or capital projects within a complex environment.
  • Strong project management experience.
  • Engineering background, ideally within Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) disciplines.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to engage effectively at all levels.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Highly organised with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain UK security clearance.

Desirable:

  • Experience within defence, nuclear, infrastructure, engineering, construction, or other highly regulated industries.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure governance, engineering assurance, or asset management principles.
  • Experience overseeing infrastructure throughout its full lifecycle, from delivery through to operational handover.
  • Familiarity with working alongside multidisciplinary project teams and external delivery partners.
