Job description

Assistant Infrastructure Programme Manager- Helensburgh, Altrad are currently looking for an experienced Assistant Infrastructure Programme Manager to join the team.

About the role:

As an Assistant Infrastructure Programme Manager, you will support the delivery of a major infrastructure programme by coordinating programme governance, risk management, and long-term planning activities. Working closely with programme leadership and a range of stakeholders, you will help maintain programme controls, oversee risk management processes, and contribute to the development of future programme plans. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong organisational and governance experience looking to develop within a complex, highly regulated environment.

Key Deliverables:

  • Support the management and continuous improvement of programme governance and controls.
  • Maintain and oversee programme risk registers, ensuring risks are reviewed, updated, and appropriately managed.
  • Monitor programme risks and support the implementation of mitigation actions.
  • Maintain programme schedules and support long-term programme planning activities.
  • Contribute to the development and review of future programme plans, ensuring they remain realistic, achievable, and aligned with business priorities.
  • Collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders to support effective programme delivery.
  • Prepare and present programme reports, documentation, and updates for governance meetings.
  • Identify opportunities to improve programme efficiency and reporting processes.

Requirements

  • Experience in programme or project management, programme governance, or programme controls.
  • Experience managing programme risks, reporting, and governance processes.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to engage at all levels.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively within a collaborative team environment.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain UK security clearance.

Desirable:

  • Experience within defence, infrastructure, engineering, construction, or other highly regulated industries.
  • Knowledge of programme governance frameworks and risk management methodologies.
  • Experience supporting large-scale capital or infrastructure programmes.
  • Experience producing reports, presentations, and management information for senior stakeholders
