Job description
As our French business continues to grow, we are looking for a Technical Support & Build Technician to join our team based in Saint-Ouen-l’Aumône.
This is a hands-on, varied role suited to someone who enjoys solving technical problems, preparing hardware and getting involved in every stage of a project, from configuring equipment in our warehouse to supporting live customer installations.
This role is best suited to someone who enjoys working independently, taking ownership of technical challenges and adapting to a wide variety of situations. Successful candidates are comfortable making informed decisions and finding practical solutions without relying on step-by-step procedures.
The Role
You will be responsible for a wide range of technical tasks, including:
- Providing remote technical support to customers via phone and email.
- Troubleshooting software, hardware and network-related issues.
- Investigating technical issues to identify their root cause and implement the most appropriate long-term solution.
- Managing support tickets and following issues through to resolution.
- Setting up, configuring and testing displays, media players and peripherals in our warehouse.
- Assisting with digital signage content deployment and basic content management.
- Working with different video formats, codecs, resolutions and playback requirements.
Requirements
We’re looking for someone who is naturally curious, practical and enjoys understanding how technology works.
You should have:
- Experience working in a technical environment.
- Good knowledge of Windows, Linux and Android operating systems.
- Confidence configuring PCs and hardware.
- A good understanding of computer networking fundamentals.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
The following would be advantageous:
- Knowledge of digital signage or AV technologies.
- Experience preparing or imaging PCs and devices.
- Familiarity with video formats, codecs, resolutions and media playback.
- Experience with remote device management (MDM) solutions.
Languages
- Native or fluent French (C2) is essential.
- English at B2 level or above is mandatory, as you will work daily with our UK-based technical and project teams.
