Job description

Kiddie Capers Childcare has 13 nurseries located across Sussex from Ardingly to the South Coast. Owned and operated by two local families, Kiddie Capers Childcare provide a truly enriching early years education, where every child’s potential is reached, and individuality is celebrated.

As an IT Manager, you’ll take the lead on all things technology across our sites, from Microsoft 365 and cybersecurity to networks, devices, and CCTV. This is a great opportunity to make a real impact in a growing organisation, helping to shape how technology supports our teams and drives the business forward.

Working closely with senior leaders and colleagues across the organisation, you’ll make sure our systems are secure, reliable, and running smoothly. You’ll lead key IT projects, find smarter ways of working, and continuously look for opportunities to improve our technology and the service we provide.

We’re looking for someone who is passionate about IT, enjoys solving problems and takes pride in delivering excellent support. You’ll be equally comfortable getting stuck into day-to-day operational issues as you are planning longer-term improvements and helping to shape the future of our IT environment., * Lead and manage all IT services across multiple sites, delivering a high-quality customer-focused service to colleagues.

  • Day to day management of all IT operations ensuring all requests are dealt with in an efficient manner
  • Managing the group’s hardware, software, network, phone and CCTV infrastructure.
  • Monitoring and maintenance of all key systems.
  • Providing technical advice, training and support to staff to enable them to make effective use of systems.
  • Ensure the security, availability, and integrity of all organisational data and IT systems.
  • Lead technology projects from planning through to successful implementation.
  • Manage IT budgets and ensure cost-effective use of resources.
  • Manage the Microsoft 365 licencing.
  • Manage contracts with IT, phone and broadband providers, including renewals, supplier relationships and service issues.
  • Work closely with senior leaders and stakeholders to maximise the value of technology across the organisation.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection legislation, software licensing requirements, and information security standards.
  • Support major organisational projects, including system migrations, integrations, and transformation programmes.
  • Liaising with service providers to solve technical issues.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and continuous service improvement.

Requirements

  • A strong passion for IT
  • An exceptional understanding of the requirements and responsibilities of working within the early year’s environment
  • Self-motivation, with excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills, as well as exceptional customer service skills
  • The ability to work both on your own and as part of a team, with a talent for problem-solving and a pro-active approach to identifying opportunities to enhance the services provided by the team
  • Strong technical knowledge of:

Desktop and Laptop hardware iPads and iPhones Microsoft 365, including Excel, Admin Centre and Entra Fixing printers

  • Good technical knowledge and the ability to learn:

Apple Business Manager/Microsoft Intune SharePoint development Remote and fixed CCTV systems Basic networking

  • Demonstrable experience managing IT resources
  • Strong understanding of information security, cyber security, and data protection requirements
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sites
