Job description

  • Analyze requests from the business and provide recommended solutions with regards to the ERP LX manufacturing business system
  • Author requirements, design specifications, unit tests, and other validation documents as required by the Software Development LifeCycle (SDLC) process
  • Develop software enhancements as assigned
  • Assists with the coordination and deployment of conversions and upgrades
  • Provide technical IT support for the use of the application
  • Participate in on-call rotation - one week every 4-5 weeks
  • Log issues with vendor as it relates to issues with the off-the-shelf software
  • Participate on a virtual IT team responsible for supporting manufacturing sites using the ERP LX manufacturing business system 24x7 including integrations with other applications
  • Developing custom enhancements to improve the business processes.
  • Provide on-call support (e.g. internal customers/business partners, external customers/partners) Internal IT, Internal customers, vendors, * Sales volume responsibility

Requirements

KEY QUALIFICATIONS (eg: professional qualifications, on-the-job training, education)

  • 5-7 years solid AS400 (iSeries) development experience (RPG, RPGLE, ILE, CL)Experience with batch scheduling tools in particular Help Systems RobotExperience with change management is desirable, in particular Thenon SEE/Change
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong skills in structural design preferred
  • Ability to work successfully in a virtual team environment, MS Windows and OfficeiSeries client accessDB2/400
  • Education: Bachelor’s Computer Science or equivalent or above 5 years + experience in manufacturing and IT EXPERIENCE (or healthcare, Multinational company, etc.)
  • Experience in Life Sciences businesses particularly in regards to manufacturing
  • Knowledge of Master data management, inventory management, materials management, shop floor control, quality release
