Job description

  • Process, validate, geocode, and analyze multi-year crash datasets.
  • Perform fatal- and serious-injury crash analysis.
  • Develop High Injury Networks and identify priority corridors and intersections.
  • Conduct systemic and severity-based safety screening.
  • Prepare GIS maps, interactive mapping products, technical memoranda, and GIS-ready data.
  • Document data sources, assumptions, limitations, methodologies, and QA/QC procedures.
  • Coordinate with transportation agencies regarding crash, roadway, demographic, and related safety data.
  • Support development of performance measures and project-prioritization methodologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in GIS, geography, transportation engineering, civil engineering, urban planning, data science, or a related field.
  • At least five years of relevant GIS, crash-data, roadway-safety, or transportation-analysis experience.
  • Experience using ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, QGIS, Python, SQL, or comparable analytical tools.
  • Experience with ODOT crash data, GCAT, TIMS, AASHTOWare Safety Analyst, or similar systems strongly .
  • Experience developing a High Injury Network, safety study, Vision Zero plan, SS4A Action Plan, or corridor-safety analysis .
  • GISP, PE, PTOE, AICP, or similar professional certification is desirable but not mandatory.
