Job description
The Junior IT Support Specialist provides first-line technical support across both office and production environments in a fast-paced, rapidly growing company. This role focuses on ticket triage, troubleshooting end-user issues, and assisting with account provisioning and device management. The specialist works closely with the Systems Administrator and IT Manager, gaining exposure to a wide range of infrastructure, tools, and operational processes., * Ticket triage - Diagnose and resolve issues related to software, operating systems, printers, user accounts, and general workstation problems.
- User support - Provide friendly, effective assistance to employees across office and production floor environments.
- Account provisioning - Assist with creating and managing user accounts in directory and cloud environments under guided supervision.
- Device & system troubleshooting - Support desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals; perform basic network troubleshooting.
- Documentation - Maintain accurate notes, ticket updates, and procedural documentation.
- Collaboration - Work alongside the Systems Administrator and IT Manager on daily operational tasks and projects.
- Occasional after-hours work - Participate in rare overnight or weekend work when operational needs require it.
Requirements
- 1 year of help desk or desktop support experience.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 environments.
- Ability to work 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday-Friday, with overtime as needed.
- High school diploma required; associate degree preferred.
- Strong dependability, self-motivation, and customer-focused mindset.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and understandably.
- Must be able to lift 40lbs.
- Ability to walk production floors, work from ladders or lifts, and perform hands-on physical tasks.
- Must pass a background check as a condition of employment.
Preferred Qualifications
- A+, Network+, or Microsoft 365 Fundamentals certifications (preferred, not required).
- Experience supporting hybrid office/manufacturing environments.
- Basic understanding of device management, cloud services, or identity platforms.
Work Environment
- Mixed office and production floor support.
- Requires walking, standing, lifting equipment, and occasional ladder or lift work.
