Job description

Under general supervision, the Enterprise Business Solutions Architect serves as a strategic technology leader for the Health and Social Services (HSS) domain. This role partners with executive leadership, product managers, business stakeholders, architects, and engineering teams to align technology investments with business outcomes and citizen services. The Enterprise Business Solutions Architect is responsible for developing and supporting product and technology strategies, guiding the usage of enterprise architecture, and ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, compliant, and aligned with State technology, cybersecurity, and accessibility standards. The role promotes a product-centric approach to technology delivery by enabling product teams to maximize value, improve customer experiences, and accelerate modernization efforts across the HSS portfolio. The Enterprise Business Solutions Architect provides leadership in emerging technologies, including cloud platforms, Salesforce ecosystems, data platforms, automation technologies, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) capabilities that support improved service delivery, operational efficiency, and data-driven decision making., 1. Research, develop and maintain strategic product and technology knowledge to align agency priorities, business capabilities, and enterprise objectives.

  1. Partner with product managers, agency leadership, and technology teams to identify business opportunities, define product and solution strategies, and prioritize innovative and reusable technology investments that maximize value delivery.

  2. Lead enterprise business solution architecture activities including capability assessments, analysis, business solution design reviews, technology research, and technology evaluations.

  3. Serve as the primary business solution advisor for Health and Social Services agencies, ensuring alignment between business outcomes, technology platforms, and enterprise standards.

  4. Guide and support modernization initiatives involving legacy system replacement, cloud adoption, platform consolidation, reusability, and digital transformation efforts.

  5. Drive adoption and optimization of Salesforce capabilities across the Health and Social Services domain, including customer engagement, case management, workflow automation, analytics, and constituent services solutions.

  6. Collaborate with Salesforce product teams, administrators, developers, and business stakeholders to establish scalable Salesforce architecture patterns and governance practices.

  7. Evaluate and recommend Artificial Intelligence (AI), Generative AI, automation, and advanced analytics solutions that improve customer experience, workforce productivity, operational effectiveness, and service delivery.

  8. Ensure AI implementations align with security, privacy, ethical use, governance, and regulatory requirements.

  9. Partner with enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, cloud engineering, data, and platform teams to promote reusable services, common platforms, and enterprise-wide capabilities.

  10. Conduct market research and technology assessments to evaluate commercial products, SaaS platforms, emerging technologies, and best practices from other states and organizations.

  11. Facilitate cross-functional and cross-agency solutioning workshops to identify business needs, define future-state capabilities, and establish shared technology strategies.

  12. Support procurement, vendor evaluations, and solution selection activities by providing guidance and technical due diligence.

  13. Ensure solutions comply with State technology standards, security requirements, accessibility standards, and enterprise governance processes.

  14. Develop business cases, product recommendations, and executive-level presentations that communicate technology strategies, risks, opportunities, and investment priorities.

  15. Continuously monitor technology trends and industry developments related to cloud computing, Salesforce, Artificial Intelligence, digital services, data platforms, and citizen engagement technologies

Requirements

Bachelors degree or 4 years of successful college coursework in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field and seven years of progressively responsible experience in software development, business analysis, enterprise architecture, business solution architecture, product strategy, or business technology consulting. Preferred Additional Qualifications: Experience supporting Health and Social Services programs and operations. Experience working in state, local, or federal government. Experience with Agile, Lean Product Management, and product operating models. Salesforce certifications (Administrator, Business Analyst, Platform App Builder, Application Architect, System Architect, or related certifications and training). Experience implementing Salesforce solutions, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Generative AI, Machine Learning, or Intelligent Automation.
