Sr Azure Infrastructure Engineer - Hybrid - Mechanicsville, VA

We are seeking a Senior Azure Infrastructure Engineer to lead the design, implementation, governance, and operational management of a large-scale Microsoft Azure environment. This role requires deep Azure expertise, strong infrastructure and security knowledge, and experience leading enterprise cloud initiatives., * Design, implement, and manage enterprise Azure infrastructure and cloud services.

• Configure Azure networking, security, governance, and compliance policies.
• Lead cloud migration projects from on-premises to Azure.
• Manage backup, disaster recovery (DR), and business continuity solutions.
• Monitor and optimize Azure environments using Azure Monitor, Workbooks, and Alerts.
• Perform infrastructure troubleshooting and production support.
• Drive vulnerability remediation and security improvements.
• Collaborate with architecture, security, and application teams.
• Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership.

• 10+ years of enterprise Microsoft Azure infrastructure experience.
• 7+ years of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred; ARM/Bicep acceptable).
• 10+ years implementing Azure networking, security, governance, and monitoring.
• 10+ years planning and executing on-premises to Azure cloud migrations.
• 10+ years managing enterprise backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Experience with Azure Monitor, observability, dashboards, and alerting.
• Experience with vulnerability remediation and security best practices.
• Strong networking knowledge (OSI model, TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls)., * Microsoft Azure certifications (Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
• Networking certifications (CCNA, Network+, or equivalent).

$90 - $95 an hour - Contract
