Job description

Partnering with Designers and Design leadership, the Design Producer is the source of truth and go-to resource for their portfolio. This individual has a passion for commerce systems, growing services, and a thorough knowledge of today’s commerce landscape. They engage with core leadership team members within Business lines, Product and Engineering to refine the design requirements and strategically align on how to move projects forward. The Design Producer owns the design project timeline and proactively sources information to unblock Design. We seek someone who has a passion for design and collaboration; has a positive outlook and excellent communication skills, while also being resourceful and organized. ā€œ,ā€responsibilitiesā€:ā€Manage cross-functional relationships and partnerships while representing the design team.

Negotiate project prioritization and own the design roadmap.

Support design brainstorms and workshops.

Facilitate meetings and design reviews.

Gather key ideas, decisions, issues, and action items in meeting notes.

Triage incoming requests, seeking clarification as needed, and prioritize design work.

Negotiate project sequencing with cross-functional partners, given available resources and ambitious schedules.

Track and report project health internally on a weekly basis, including communicating status and projected results.

Review early software to ensure design integrity has remained intact during implementation.

Requirements

We are looking for a Senior Design Producer to join the Cross-Product Design organization. This role will closely partner with the Commerce Design team to develop new products and works on features to grow existing subscription services and commerce infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have project management experience working with designers to develop user interface designs for subscription based products or commerce platforms. They will work closely with their design team and cross-functional partners to define project requirements, clarify design goals, lead design reviews, and ensure a quality release of the final product. They will play a critical role in reviewing roadmap requests and prioritizing projects with internal partners within Apple., Has work experience in commerce platforms or building/ maintaining a subscription product.

Track record collaborating with creatives and supporting multi-disciplinary teams to ideate, iterate, and launch new in-product user journeys.

Strong storytelling skills utilized to influence design intent across a variety of specialized teams and range of levels within Apple.

Keen ability to grasp complexity quickly and focus on key issues.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Agility in learning new software and tools.

Is interested in project process and optimization.

Minimum Qualifications

10+ years as a producer in software design, digital, or UI/UX design experience preferred.

Experience managing multiple projects, resources, schedules, and priorities across multiple work streams, ensuring high-quality design solutions in a continuously evolving creative environment.

Track record of project leadership, creative thinking, and cross-functional collaboration in support of influencing a seamless customer experience that feels like it just works.

Enjoys resource planning and project coordination

Demonstrates the ability to build trust and work collaboratively.

Portfolio demonstrating your workflow process, creative IQ, and problem solving abilities.

The base pay range for this role is between $181,100 and $318,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
