Job description

We are seeking a dedicated IT Help Desk Specialist (Hybrid) to join our dynamic technology support team. This role offers a hybrid work environment, combining remote assistance with on-site support to ensure seamless IT operations across our organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to resolving hardware and software issues. You will be instrumental in maintaining the efficiency of our IT infrastructure, supporting end-users, and ensuring optimal performance of our computer systems and network environment.

Key responsibilities include providing technical support for a wide range of hardware and software, managing help desk tickets efficiently, troubleshooting network and computer issues, and assisting with the maintenance of IT systems. Your efforts will directly contribute to minimizing downtime, enhancing user productivity, and maintaining secure and reliable IT services., * Respond promptly to help desk requests via ServiceNow or Jira, providing clear and effective solutions.

  • Troubleshoot hardware issues related to desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and other peripherals.
  • Support software applications including Microsoft Office Suite, Windows OS, macOS, and specialized enterprise tools.
  • Diagnose and resolve network connectivity problems involving LAN, VPNs, firewalls, DNS configurations, TCP/IP protocols, and network switches.
  • Assist with Active Directory management tasks such as user account creation, permissions adjustments, and GPO configurations.
  • Support the deployment and maintenance of IT equipment using SCCM or similar systems; manage computer imaging and updates.
  • Conduct hardware repairs or replacements as needed; support computer management tasks including inventory tracking.
  • Provide technical troubleshooting for operating systems (Windows Server environments, Linux), network issues, and security configurations like Meraki or firewall settings.
  • Manage customer support tickets efficiently while maintaining high levels of customer service; communicate technical solutions clearly to non-technical users.
  • Collaborate with the IT team on infrastructure projects involving LAN/WAN setup or upgrades; assist in monitoring system performance.
  • Support mobile device management across various platforms; assist users with VPN access and remote connectivity issues.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two years’ experience in an IT help desk or technical support role within a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with help desk systems such as ServiceNow or BMC Remedy.
  • Strong understanding of computer networking concepts including LAN/WAN architecture, TCP/IP protocols, DNS management, VPNs, firewalls, and network security best practices.
  • Hands-on experience supporting Windows (including Windows Server), macOS, Linux operating systems.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory management practices along with experience using SCCM or equivalent device management tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot hardware components such as motherboards, hard drives, RAM modules; software troubleshooting skills are essential.
  • Familiarity with network administration tools like Meraki or Cisco switches; understanding of GPO policies is advantageous
