Job description

This Principal Oracle Database Architect role is focused on database design, performance tuning, and production support in large-scale AWS environments. The engineer will partner closely with application development, architecture, and product teams to optimize Oracle databases throughout the software lifecycle, from design through deployment. Requirements

Candidates should have 10+ years of Oracle database experience supporting complex enterprise environments, with a strong background in Oracle performance tuning, SQL optimization, RAC, GoldenGate, and production support. Additional experience with AWS (RDS, EC2, EKS), traditional databases such as DB2, SQL Server, and Sybase, NoSQL technologies like Cassandra and MongoDB, cloud infrastructure, database automation, troubleshooting, and SDLC is highly valued. The role also includes participating in design reviews, Level 3 production support, collaborating with systems analysts and development teams, and leading initiatives that improve database efficiency, scalability, and operational excellence. Must Have:

  • Working with Application Development and Performance Teams on Tuning Database components during the Design to Deployment phases in the areas of Oracle SQL and PLSQL, RAC & Golden gate
  • In depth knowledge of Cloud components (AWS platform) that include Databases, underlying infrastructure and related components
  • In-depth knowledge Oracle RAC, Oracle Performance & Tuning and SQL Tuning
  • Application Areas such as Schema Design, Data Models, Best Practices, Database Features
