Job description
An opening at the corporate office in Holly, Michigan for a Technical Support and New Customer Development Technician to work with field staff, programmers, and customer IT to set up and support custom programs., Trained to use our custom program design scripting to be used in handheld data collection devices.
· QC - Testing programs thoroughly to ensure all requirements are met.
· Setting up, configuring, and monitoring automated processes to receive data from customers, prepare files to conduct inventories, and process data for electronic delivery.
· Communicating with our field staff to set up requirements needed to capture inventory data in a variety of retail stores.
· Contacting the IT staff at the corporate offices of retailers nationwide to discuss formats and structure of data files to be received and returned.
· Analyzing these files in order to design and submit customer specific requests to our programming staff.
· Supporting field staff in the use of proprietary software and hardware, including after normal business hours support.
· After hours on call support on a rotating weekly schedule once fully trained.
Requirements
This person must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision while managing and prioritizing multiple projects simultaneously in order to meet deadlines.
This position requires strong organizational and analytical skills as well as excellent written communication skills. Attention to detail is a must, as well as a proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Position reports to Customer Development Vice President.
