Job description
Serve as a Platform Engineer
Design, deploy, maintain, and secure platform infrastructure
Build infrastructure from a bare-metal deployment
Automate security practices to ensure compliance of critical infrastructure
Be responsible for the detection and mitigation of security risk
Support Artificial Intelligence (AI) workloads
Deliver simple, sustainable, and repeatable solutions and processes
Trouble-shoot network routing, interconnectivity, platforms, and configuration issues
- Including low level application interaction
- Linux systems
- Next-gen networking software tools
Maintain security best practices across infrastructure to ensure systems compliance
Innovate new security solutions that enable us to move faster and meet key milestones
Work closely with ISSO to ensure product roll-outs meet security compliance
Assist with deployment and sustaining platform infrastructure and tooling
Requirements
Do you have experience in Tooling?, Automation Scripting:
- Strong scripting skills in languages like Python, Go, Bash, or similar
Proficient with:
- Prometheus
- Grafana
Cluster Management:
Extensive experience with Kubernetes clusters to include:
- Designing, deploying, securing, maintaining
- Upgrading highly available and scalable (e.g., EKS, AKS, GKE, OpenShift)
- Including the control plane components, worker nodes, and their interactions
Containerization & Orchestration:
- Proficient with Docker and containerization best practices
Networking:
- Strong understanding of Kubernetes networking concepts
Security:
- Expertise in securing Kubernetes environments and network security
Performance & Optimization:
- Optimize resources and implement best practices for cluster tuning
CI/CD Tooling:
- Hands-on experience with popular CI/CD platforms like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD
Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
- Proficiency with tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation
Linux/Unix:
Background in Linux, including networking, file systems, and process management
Experience with Helm charts and customize for Kubernetes application packaging and deployment.
Relevant certifications such as:
- CKA, CKAD, CKS, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert., * hands-on platform engineering: 5 years (Preferred)
- python and/or Go programming: 5 years (Preferred)
- building out datacenter architectures from scratch: 5 years (Preferred)
- Prometheus : 3 years (Preferred)
- Grafana: 3 years (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- CI Polygraph Security Clearance (Preferred)
Security clearance:
- Top Secret (Required)
