Kforce has a client that is seeking a Testing Lead in Houston, TX., * Testing Lead will develop and implement enterprise-wide testing strategies, frameworks, standards, and best practices
- Lead the evolution of quality assurance toward automation-first and AI-driven testing approaches
- Establish consistency across testing processes, methodologies, and quality metrics
- Partner with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to ensure quality is embedded throughout the software development lifecycle
- Manage and mentor QA team members while supporting professional development and technical growth
- Influence and guide testing resources across a matrixed and distributed team environment
- As a Testing Lead, you will evaluate new testing technologies, automation platforms, and vendor solutions
- Drive accountability through quality metrics, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Support delivery execution while maintaining a long-term vision for quality engineering transformation
- Strengthen collaboration across geographically distributed teams and product groups
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
- 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Engineering, Testing Leadership, or related disciplines
- Experience leading QA teams and managing testing initiatives across multiple projects or product lines
- Experience working in Agile, Scrum, or similar software development environments
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, test strategy development, and quality processes
- Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and drive organizational change
- Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience designing and implementing test automation frameworks
- Experience with AI-enabled testing tools and emerging quality engineering technologies
- Experience managing vendor relationships and outsourced testing resources
- Experience leading testing organizations through modernization initiatives
- Background in software engineering, automation engineering, or application development
- Familiarity with mobile application testing across iOS and Android platforms

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
