Other job-related duties may be assigned as required. Roles & Responsibilities The successful candidate will provide Engineering support for a large on-premise Active Directory (AD) environment. This involves all aspects Testing and Engineering for AD (Domain Creation, Group Policy Management, Security Enhancements and Testing, etc), as well as Testing and Engineering for AD Support Infrastructures (ex. Backup and Restore, Privileged Access Workstations, AD Security Monitoring, etc). Primary Tasks
- Project Efforts
- Work with other Engineering and Operations teams to complete large projects

Represent AD Engineering in cross-organizational efforts &nb sp; - Manage full Engineering lifecycle for AD Enhancement efforts
- Review application interactivity with Active Directory in a lab context prior to release to UAT and Production environments
- Assist application managers with establishing AD connectivity
- Ensure applications do not negatively impact AD functionality
- Lab Management
- Assist with managing Lab Server fleet to required standards
- Perform post-patching checkouts to ensure no negative impacts prior to promotion to UAT
- Respond to user issues with logons, passwords, lockouts, etc
- Respond to user requests for Groups, OUs, Users, etc
Requirements
Active Directory Experience - Advanced understanding of, and experience with:
- Group Policies
- LDAP Connectivity
- Kerberos / NTLM Authentication
- PKI Integration with AD
- Modern AD Security Concepts
- AD Port and Protocol Knowledge
- Non-Windows Applications Connecting to AD
- General IT Skills
- Risk and Security Awareness
- Experience with communications through Firewalls
- Good Communication Skills
- Technical Documentation Skills and experience
- Network Capture Review Experience 5+ years of hands-on experience supporting multi-domain Active Directory environments with expert proficiency in Microsoft AD and Entra ID 8+ years’ experience supporting Windows Server OS preferred Expert proficiency working with the following: LDAP, Kerberos, AD backup and recovery Ability to communicate across perceived organizational boundaries and break down silos to achieve global collaboration Proactive team player who takes the initiative to meet goals and drive operational improvements. Balance tactical and strategic goals into a stable and manageable operational framework. SQL Server and/or PowerShell scripting experience is a plus Ability to adapt communication styles to effectively communicate with senior management, customers and end-users Education Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience Any relevant technology certifications are a plus
