Job description

As a Senior Consultant, Enterprise Security on the GPS Cyber team, you will be responsible for…

  • Designing, implementing, and maintaining Palo Alto Networks security solutions across enterprise environments
  • Configuring and administering firewall policies, network address translation, virtual private network connectivity, and security segmentation controls
  • Managing and supporting Palo Alto Panorama for centralized policy administration, monitoring, and change deployment
  • Troubleshooting security infrastructure issues, performing upgrades and patching activities, and supporting operational stability in client environments
  • Documenting technical designs, implementation activities, and operational procedures while supporting client requirements in the DMV area

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity, engineering, mathematics, or information systems
  • Active Secret clearance or higher
  • Local to the DMV area and have the ability to work onsite up to 5 days a week
  • Ability to travel 20%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
  • 4+ years of experience implementing, administering, or supporting Palo Alto Networks firewalls in enterprise environments
  • 4+ years of experience with network security technologies, including next-generation firewalls, virtual private networks, and network segmentation
  • 3+ years’ experience configuring and administering Palo Alto Panorama
  • Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer certification
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Preferred:

  • 1+ years of experience supporting federal government clients
  • 2+ years of experience with security architecture documentation and firewall rule reviews.
  • 2+ years of experience with NIST frameworks or Risk Management controls
  • Experience supporting cloud network security in Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
  • Experience with security operations in classified or highly regulated environments

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $107,925 to $188,000.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
