Job description
A growing food manufacturing company is seeking a detail-oriented and organized CMMS Implementation Specialist to support the implementation of a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). This individual will partner closely with the maintenance team to gather, organize, and upload equipment and asset information, ensuring the system is fully configured and ready for day-to-day maintenance operations.
The ideal candidate enjoys organizing technical data, working cross-functionally, and building processes that improve equipment reliability and maintenance efficiency., * Collaborate with maintenance, production, and other departments to collect and organize equipment and asset information.
- Build equipment hierarchies and maintain accurate asset records within the CMMS, including equipment specifications, serial and model numbers, manufacturer details, locations, and supporting documentation.
- Upload equipment manuals, drawings, SOPs, photos, and other technical documents into the system.
- Develop and configure preventive maintenance (PM) schedules, task lists, and work instructions based on manufacturer recommendations and maintenance team input.
- Create and maintain spare parts inventory records, including part numbers, descriptions, quantities, storage locations, inventory thresholds, and associated equipment.
- Establish vendor and supplier records while linking vendors, inventory, and assets appropriately within the CMMS.
- Review and validate data for completeness and accuracy prior to system upload, while helping standardize equipment naming conventions and asset numbering.
- Identify missing documentation and coordinate with internal teams, equipment manufacturers, and suppliers to obtain necessary information.
- Assist with testing CMMS workflows, including work orders, preventive maintenance, inventory, and purchasing functions.
- Provide basic user training and support to maintenance and production personnel during system implementation.
- Track implementation progress and communicate project updates to key stakeholders.
Requirements
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
- Experience organizing large datasets and using Excel functions such as tables, sorting, filtering, and data cross-referencing.
- Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing or industrial environment while collaborating with maintenance personnel.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Self-motivated, able to prioritize work independently, and consistently meet project deadlines.
- Experience with CMMS software, maintenance planning, asset management, or equipment documentation is highly preferred.
