Job description

As a Data Scientist, you will work on developing data-driven solutions to improve Map and Location quality. You will combine statistical methods, machine learning, and analytical thinking to create impactful insights and tools.

In This Role, You Will

  • Build innovative solutions to measure and improve Map Quality using machine learning and statistical methods
  • Act as a subject matter expert in statistical and experimental design for map and location quality testing processes
  • Develop sampling strategies for map quality evaluation and for generating training data for ML models
  • Define and implement statistical quality metrics to track and improve performance
  • Design and develop data and computing tools to process data and analyze results at scale
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into analytical solutions
  • Communicate findings and insights through presentations and written materials, including white papers

Requirements

  • A degree in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, Quality Management Systems, or a related field
  • Around 0.5-3 years of relevant professional experience
  • Understanding of machine learning concepts and techniques, including classification and predictive analytics
  • Knowledge of statistical sampling methods and experimental design
  • Experience working with programming languages such as Python, R, SAS, or Matlab
  • Working knowledge of SQL
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a structured approach to analyzing data
  • Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal
  • Ability to collaborate in a team environment and contribute to shared outcomes
  • Good organization skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks
