Job description

As a Backend Engineer in Service Engineering, you will be responsible for specifying, building, and maintaining the next generation of diagnostic tooling for our vehicles and energy products. You’ll be part of one of our multidisciplinary product teams, where you will build back-end systems, improve observability and reliability of our applications, and work closely with product managers, engineers, operations, and data analysts. What You’ll Do

  • Improve diagnostic simplicity, meeting regulatory compliance and building proactive diagnostic systems
  • Design and maintain automated release process tools and infrastructure
  • Build and maintain our next generation infrastructure using technologies like docker and Kubernetes
  • Participate in architectural improvements to support our growing user base

Requirements

  • 3+ years of backend software development experience
  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science or equivalent in experience with evidence of exceptional ability
  • Experience with high-level programming languages like Python, Ruby, Java, Go or similar
  • Experience managing cloud computing environments
  • Experience in devops tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Concourse, ArgoCD or similar
  • Experience with generative AI applications is a plus

Expected Compensation $140,000 - $252,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
