The Implementation Specialist is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the client benefit plan implementation. This role partners closely with all key internal and external stakeholders - including sales, service team, consultants, plan sponsors, and other internal business units to proactively identify, address, and resolve implementation variables that could impact plan set up accuracy or communication strategy. The position ensures the highest standard of client service to guarantee the client’s expectations are consistently satisfied or exceeded. The Implementation Specialist collaborates directly with benefit carriers and plan sponsors to ensure the plan set up and retiree communication meets CSM compliance standards.
Role Responsibilities:

Serves as the primary point of contact for benefit plan implementation and annual carrier/plan changes.

Mediates and coordinates resolution of all implementation-related issues and project deliverables.

Develops and executes implementation strategy aligned with client expectations, optimizing processes to deliver an exceptional client and retiree experience.

Schedules and lead recurring client meetings to maintain visibility into the implementation status.

Evaluates initial eligibility submission mitigates any discrepancies to ensure the success of the communication strategy and plan enrollment.

Manages team dynamics effectively and provides guidance to team members to ensure successful project execution.

Designs, prepares, and coordinates retiree communication regarding carrier/plan changes, RetireeFirst advocacy services, opt out option, and retiree educational meeting details for both in-person and/or virtual sessions.

Solicits, evaluates, and applies internal and external feedback to drive continuous quality improvement supporting the implementation process.

Participate in Team/Division meetings.

Lead or assist with some internal projects.

Serves as subject matter expert for carrier relations within the implementation process.
Requirements
-
3+ years’ experience in the healthcare industry and/or project management role.

Strong knowledge of project management principles, practices, and tools.

Demonstrated success managing strict deadlines and multiple priorities.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all organizational levels and with plan sponsors/clients.

Minimum 5 years of experience with:
o Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook).
Preferred:
-
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
-
Active Life and Health Producer’s License.
-
Experience with Salesforce and Monday.com.
