  • Champion engineering best practice by leading initiatives that enhance ways of working and contribute to a growing community of practice across the organisation
  • Influence wider engineering strategy by sharing technical insight and identifying opportunities to improve development standards and delivery capability
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by promoting agile ways of working, collaboration and ongoing professional development across the team
  • Play a key role in shaping the future of digital delivery, contributing to high-profile projects that support organisational objectives and improve outcomes for consumers

  • Strong understanding of development automation, using tools and practices that improve efficiency, quality and software delivery outcomes
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to engage confidently within multidisciplinary teams and with a broad range of stakeholders
  • Proven ability to collaborate with engineers, designers, product managers and analysts to deliver high-quality solutions aligned to user and business needs
  • Commitment to software engineering best practice, producing high-quality code that is coherent, loosely coupled, maintainable, well-documented and fully testable
  • Ability to evaluate, select and apply innovative development approaches, adapting practices and frameworks to meet technical and delivery requirements
  • Experience working within agile environments, alongside Solution and Technical Architects, with an understanding of system architecture, implementation trade-offs and Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery practices
