Job description
You’ll support our three retail sites as required, with flexible working hours of a few hours each week., * Managing and maintaining CCTV systems.
- Investigating incidents and reviewing CCTV footage.
- Logging and investigating fuel drive-offs.
- Managing fridge temperature monitoring systems.
- Supporting and maintaining staff clocking-in and attendance systems.
- Creating and maintaining pricing, promotions and EPOS data.
- Assisting with fuel pricing and ensuring pricing systems are updated correctly.
- Supporting and maintaining Electronic Shelf Labels (ESLs).
- Upgrading, maintaining and troubleshooting wireless headset systems.
- Providing first-line support for EPOS tills, payment terminals and back-office systems.
- Assisting with basic networking, including routers, switches and Wi-Fi equipment.
- Basic IT support including PCs, printers, tablets and other store devices.
- Cable management and ensuring installations are tidy, safe and well organised.
- Installing, configuring and testing new hardware and software.
- Helping introduce and roll out new technology across the business.
- Liaising with software providers, equipment manufacturers and technical helpdesks to diagnose issues and see them through to resolution.
- Keeping accurate records of faults, repairs and system changes.
- Identifying opportunities to improve technology and increase efficiency across the business.
Requirements
We’re looking for a practical, hands-on person to support the technology and operational systems across our retail businesses. This is a varied role that would suit someone who enjoys problem-solving, learning new technology and working independently., We’re looking for someone who:
- Is confident using computers and technology.
- Can quickly learn new systems with minimal training.
- Has good problem-solving and fault-finding skills.
- Is comfortable speaking with technical support teams and explaining technical issues.
- Can work independently and manage their own workload.
- Has excellent attention to detail.
- Is organised, reliable and proactive.
- Is happy travelling between our three retail sites when required.
- Holds a full UK driving licence (preferred).
Previous experience with any of the following would be an advantage:
- Retail or convenience store systems.
- EPOS systems.
- CCTV.
- Networking and Wi-Fi.
- Electronic Shelf Labels (ESLs).
- Temperature monitoring systems.
- Microsoft Windows and Microsoft 365.
- Payment terminals.
- Basic IT support.
