Job description

The HRIS Analyst oversees payroll and HR systems, manages the HRIS ticketing system, and supports day-to-day operations across HR, payroll, and timekeeping. This role focuses on data governance, data bridge requirements, year-end and close activities, and a heavy workload of reporting for European operations. The HRIS Analyst uses HCM systems and ADP Vantage to ensure accurate data flow from HR to payroll while supporting configuration, testing, reporting, and compliance initiatives., * Maintain and administer HR and payroll system configurations within ADP and related HRIS platforms.

  • Support organization structures, including company codes, establishment IDs, locations, departments, and pay group maintenance.
  • Process approved configuration changes in accordance with documented HRIS procedures and standards.
  • Assist with HRIS security role administration, including user access requests and permission updates.
  • Manage HRIS service tickets and inquiries, ensuring timely and accurate resolution.
  • Support employee lifecycle transactions and troubleshoot related HR, payroll, and timekeeping issues.
  • Execute recurring HRIS operational tasks and daily processing activities to support HR and payroll operations.
  • Coordinate with Payroll and HR teams to resolve data discrepancies and ensure data integrity.
  • Perform audits and validation activities to maintain accuracy and consistency across HR, Payroll, and Time systems.
  • Investigate system discrepancies and data issues, and drive corrective actions.
  • Execute pre- and post-production validation activities for system changes, integrations, and data loads.
  • Support reconciliation efforts for integrations, data loads, and reporting outputs.
  • Participate in system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), and production validation activities.
  • Document test results, track defects, and coordinate issue resolution with stakeholders and vendors.
  • Support payroll, HR, and system enhancement projects, including configuration updates and process improvements.
  • Assist with annual events such as compensation cycles, pay group changes, organizational updates, and compliance-related changes.
  • Generate and validate operational reports to support HR, payroll, and leadership decision-making.
  • Update standard operating procedures (SOPs), job aids, and process documentation to reflect current practices.
  • Maintain audit evidence and support compliance requirements, including those related to regulated or SOX-controlled environments.
  • Track, prioritize, and communicate status on assigned work items, tickets, and project tasks.
  • Work with ADP and other external vendors on support requests, issue escalation, and system enhancements.
  • Coordinate with HR, Payroll, Benefits, and IT stakeholders to align system configurations and processes.
  • Escalate production issues and project risks appropriately to ensure timely resolution and minimal business impact.
  • Participate in recurring operational and project meetings to provide updates and collaborate on initiatives.
  • Support heavy reporting workloads for European operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Use HCM systems to understand and manage data flows into the ADP Vantage payroll system.
  • Contribute to HRIS support for ongoing implementations and acquisitions scheduled throughout the year., The HRIS Analyst works closely with one peer and a manager within a corporate North American payroll department based in Addison. The role supports a busy environment where the team is covering responsibilities due to senior personnel being on maternity leave, while also supporting two new system implementations and several scheduled acquisitions through the end of the year. The work involves frequent collaboration with HR, Payroll, Benefits, IT, and external vendors, participation in recurring operational and project meetings, and handling a heavy reporting workload, particularly for European operations. The environment is corporate and dynamic, with a strong focus on system reliability, data accuracy, and meeting critical deadlines.

Requirements

  • 5-10+ years of experience in HRIS, Payroll, Human Resources, or business systems, preferably in a consulting capacity.
  • Hands-on experience supporting enterprise HR or payroll applications.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for complex HR, payroll, and data issues.
  • Practical experience with ADP Vantage and HCM platforms, with the ability to understand data flow from HCM to payroll.
  • Experience supporting payroll configuration or HR operations within enterprise environments.
  • Knowledge of HRIS security, including role-based access, user provisioning, and data protection.
  • Experience with testing and change management processes, including UAT, SIT, and production validation.
  • Proficiency with reporting tools and data analysis to generate, validate, and interpret HR and payroll reports.
  • Familiarity with SOX-controlled or regulated environments and related compliance requirements.
  • Experience working with spreadsheets for data validation, reconciliation, and reporting.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
  • HRIS expertise in configuration, system administration, and operational support.
  • Strong skills in reporting, payroll, HRIS, and HCM systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Additional experience with Oracle HCM or similar HCM platforms.
  • Background in consulting or advisory roles supporting HR and payroll systems.
  • Experience working with data governance practices and data bridge requirements.
  • Exposure to year-end and close activities for payroll and HR systems.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including HR, Payroll, Benefits, and IT.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for documentation, reporting, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Detail-oriented approach with a focus on accuracy, compliance, and process improvement.

Benefits & conditions

This is a Contract position based out of Dallas, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $60.00/hr.
