Job description

Open Position: Zeichner Risk Analytics (ZRA) has an immediate full-time position for a Cybersecurity Strategy Consultant to support government R&D programs related to emerging technologies and cybersecurity. This is a hybrid position: 50% remote and 50% in-person in Arlington, VA.

About ZRA: Zeichner Risk Analytics (ZRA) is a boutique cybersecurity consulting firm in Arlington, Virginia that provides policy, legal, risk, and management consulting services to private sector and federal government clients. ZRA provides consulting services to prominent public and private entities that operate in challenging and contested cybersecurity domains. We work closely with high-level stakeholders to create strategies to address cutting edge issues and set the course for future technology development.

Strategic Research Consultant Key Responsibilities:

· Apply both technical knowledge and client engagement skills to support government R&D projects.

· Conduct research on cybersecurity, risk, and policy for clients and present insights in written and oral format.

· Produce high-quality deliverables for a non-technical audience; deliverables include briefings, analytic and research reports, white papers, and work plans.

· Consult and advise clients, helping solve difficult problems to advance national security projects.

· Establish and maintain client relationships with regular, effective communication and project updates., · Selected applicants must pass a pre-employment drug test and background review, which includes checks of personal references, credit, law enforcement records, and employment/education verifications.

· Applicants for employment need to be able to obtain and maintain an upper-level security clearance (Top Secret), which requires U.S. citizenship. If you hold more than one citizenship (i.e., of the U.S. and another country), your ability to obtain a security clearance may be impacted.

· Applicants offered employment are subject to a federal background investigation to meet the requirements for access to classified information or matter. Substance abuse or illegal drug use, falsification of information, criminal activity, serious misconduct or other indicators of untrustworthiness can cause a clearance to be denied or terminated, resulting in the inability to perform the duties assigned and subsequent termination of employment.

  • In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification document form upon hire.

Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree in relevant field(s), including cybersecurity, national security, international affairs, political science, risk management, cybersecurity, or business.

· 2+ years professional experience in a role involving research, writing, client engagement, project management, and/or cybersecurity.

· Strong briefing skills and experience, including PowerPoint presentations and public speaking.

· Ability to conduct research on complex subject matter and create research products that distill findings for a variety of audiences.

· Excellent written and oral communications skills.

· Strong project management skills, organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Demonstrated interest in emerging technology, cybersecurity, and government consulting.

· Ability to work full-time, including 50% in-office at ZRA Headquarters in Arlington, VA.

· Eligibility for Top Secret security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Master’s degree in relevant field(s), including cybersecurity, national security, international affairs, political science, risk management, or business.

· 3+ years professional experience in national security, intelligence analysis, cybersecurity, or consulting.

· Active security clearance (any level).

· Strong technical knowledge, including professional certifications such as COMPTIA, CISSP, PMP, etc., * Bachelor’s (Required), * Consulting: 2 years (Required)
