Job description

  • Responsible for administration of transactional and analytical database objects.
  • Responsible for configuring, managing, and troubleshooting Sybase ASE, Sybase Replication Server, Sybase IQ
  • On Call responsibilities
  • Support incident, change and problem management as and when required.
  • Duties include performance tuning, monitoring, software installs and upgrades, scripting, automation, incident response and documentation.

Requirements

  • Experience with database backup and recovery, including implementing disaster recovery standards
  • Familiarity with complex database systems.
  • Familiarity with Enterprise Incident management
  • Experience with database design, optimization, and tuning
  • SQL - Basic & Advanced, Indexing, Index types, Partitioning, Staging Views, triggers, function, stored procedures.
  • Skills in managing multiple projects at once and adapting to changing priorities
  • Has a personal passion for continuous learning, innovation and best practices
  • Handle multiple conflicting requirements
  • Attention to detail
  • Hands onā€ experience in the design, implementation, administration, and maintenance of a Sybase
  • Experience in configuring, managing, and troubleshooting Sybase ASE, Sybase Replication Server, Sybase IQ
  • Good understating of Security standards and best practices in application support services
  • Good communication skills
  • Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills
