Job description

As a Part-Time Quality Assurance (QA) Tester reporting to the Engineering / Product Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our software solutions as they are delivered to real estate brokerages and agents. Leveraging your exceptional attention to detail, technical curiosity, and problem-solving mindset, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to test new features, identify bugs, and verify system functionality prior to product launches.

This is an in-person, part-time role that will work out of our Denver, Colorado office., * Quality Assurance & Testing: Execute manual and regression test plans across web applications, custom platforms, and mobile-responsive software solutions.

  • Bug Identification & Tracking: Identify, document, and track software defects and usability issues clear and reproducibly using issue-tracking software.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product, Engineering, and Client Care teams to understand release features, verify bug fixes, and ensure customizations are implemented effectively.
  • Launch Verification: Perform thorough end-to-end testing during launch weeks to ensure seamless deployments for our clients.
  • Technical Consultation: Offer insights and feedback from a user-experience and system-health perspective to help refine feature quality before release.
  • Documentation & Tracking: Maintain accurate testing logs, test cases, and quality records within project management and bug-tracking tools.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in software quality assurance, testing, or a closely related technical support/analytical role.
  • Proficiency with issue-tracking and project management systems like Jira, Confluence, Teamwork, Asana, Basecamp, etc.
  • Solid technical aptitude and ability to grasp complex software functionalities quickly.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly detail technical issues and steps to reproduce bugs.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple testing priorities simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to issue resolution.
  • Strong focus on software quality and dedication to delivering seamless user experiences.

Bonus Points:

  • Previous experience with automated testing tools or website administration/CRM systems.
  • Background or work experience in the real estate industry (brokerage, mortgage, or title).

Benefits & conditions
