Job description

The Amazon AGI Finance team has an opening for a Finance Manager to partner with AGI Product Organization. This role will work closely with senior management and key business partners to drive financial planning, decision support and controllership for AGI Business. You will leverage financials and key business metrics to uncover and provide insights to AGI Business and Finance leadership.

This person operates with high autonomy and independence, showing high judgment in decisions that have financial, business, operational, or customer implications. We’re seeking an innovative, creative, analytical and strategic thinker.

The role specifically will focus on partnering with the business to develop Product Strategy for AGI, streamline procedures for Compute capacity work stream working backwards from launches, and own financial reporting to the AGI Info Business LT. As part of the role, you will also be responsible for building processes to help track AGI’s information grounding usage off AWS Bedrock and a charging mechanism for internal and external customers.

A day in the life This role will support the AGI Information organization will drive financial reporting and strategic decision making, including engagement, AWS capacity planning, and profitability analyses. Given the strategic nature of the AGI business, this is a high visibility role across AWS and AGI leadership. You will work hand-in-hand with your finance and business partners in AGI to improve reporting, perform impact analyses, and provide strategic insights and recommendations.

Requirements

5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

  • 5+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience
  • 5+ years of leading cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science), or Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience, 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
  • 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
  • MBA, or CPA
  • Knowledge of SQL/ETL
  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
  • Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
