Job description

The IT Infrastructure & Security Administrator will be responsible for managing and securing the terminal’s IT infrastructure, including network systems, wireless solutions, cybersecurity, and data management. This role combines technical expertise with project management capabilities, vendor coordination, and close collaboration with terminal stakeholders to ensure that technical solutions align with business objectives. The specialist will implement and maintain robust cybersecurity protocols to protect systems and data, ensuring optimal performance and security across all IT operations. Additionally, the role involves leading and supporting the successful delivery of IT projects. Responsibilities also include compliance with regulatory frameworks such as NIST, TSA, and GDPR, and mitigating security risks. Continuous professional development is required to stay ahead of emerging technologies and evolving security threats, while adhering to aviation industry standards and regulations to maintain system integrity and operational excellence. This position will be a part of the JFK Millenium Partnership (JMP) organization. JMP currently operates Terminal 7 and is in the process of developing the new Terminal 6 at JFK., * Serve as the lead point of contact for infrastructure and cybersecurity operations within the terminal, ensuring continuous operational excellence and compliance with security protocols while demonstrating proactive leadership and autonomous decision-making capabilities.

  • Implement and manage cybersecurity protocols.
  • Perform regular security assessments and audits.
  • Manage disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
  • Respond to security incidents and breaches.
  • Configure and maintain firewalls, VPN and other security tools.
  • Develop and enforce IT security and procedures.
  • Provide technical support for infrastructure-related issues.
  • Collaborate with Vantage Global Security team to ensure effective oversight and implementation of enterprise-wide cybersecurity policies and strategic initiatives.
  • Ensure the optimal performance and security of all IT operations, minimizing downtime and maintaining system integrity.
  • Collaborate with terminal stakeholders to align technical solutions with business goals and objectives.
  • Interact with, and at times manage, varied technical vendors.
  • Lead and support the delivery of IT projects that enhance operational efficiency and meet business needs.
  • Coordinate with vendors to ensure services and solutions meet technical and business requirements.
  • Other duties and responsibilities commensurate with the position may be assigned.

Requirements

  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or other related field.
  • 5+ years of IT Infrastructure experience.
  • 3+ years of cybersecurity experience.
  • Experience working with regulatory compliance (GDPR, PCI-DSI, etc.).
  • Preferred experience with Fortinet infrastructure, including firewalls and network switches management.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a matrix organization, engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders including Port Authority, TSA, Airlines, and the Vantage Global Security team, to ensure alignment with security and operational objectives.
  • Proven track record in vendor relationship management, encompassing contract negotiations, SLA monitoring, and performance optimization.
  • Superior verbal and written communication capabilities, with demonstrated proficiency in engaging effectively across all organizational levels.
  • Previous experience in Help Desk role.

  • Ability to create comprehensive documentation and work effectively in a cross-functional team collaboration environment.
  • Some experience creating/working with automated dashboards, standardized reports, and enterprise systems would be preferred.

Compensation: The expected annual compensation for this position includes a base salary $102,000 - $126,000 (USD) per year, plus eligibility for an annual incentive.
