Job description

  • Provide strategic leadership to a team of system engineers, setting departmental goals, managing tasks, and offering mentorship.
  • Host regular team meetings to track progress, disseminate updates, and tackle any arising challenges.
  • Oversee the enhancement and upkeep of IT and OT Systems policies, ensuring they adapt to evolving business needs.
  • Manage the team’s operational queue, ensuring effective distribution and completion of tasks.
  • Spearhead the response to findings from regulatory and internal audits concerning infrastructure.
  • Handle recruitment and retention, shaping a robust and capable IT support team.
  • Stay abreast of technology trends to keep the team and the company at the cutting edge.
  • Lead the development, standardization, and management of systems infrastructure, advocating for best practices and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure the consistent monitoring of systems, addressing potential intrusions or vulnerabilities, and maintaining security standards.
  • Administer and optimize daily backup operations and system maintenance routines.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.
  • At least 2 years in a supervisory capacity within an IT environment.
  • Proficiency in managing Active Directory, cloud applications, Linux/Unix, VMware, System Center suite, and networking.
  • Demonstrable leadership skills with an emphasis on communication and interpersonal acumen.
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple projects and shifting priorities.
  • Independent, critical thinking with a knack for problem-solving and clear communication of solutions.
  • Preferred experience includes a previous role as an IT Manager or similar position.
