Job description
The ERP Implementation Specialist leads and supports the deployment, configuration, and ongoing optimization of the clients’ ERP system across manufacturing and business operations. This role works closely with department stakeholders, IT, and external vendors to translate business processes into system configurations, manage data migration, and ensure a smooth transition from legacy systems to the new or upgraded ERP platform., * Lead end-to-end ERP implementation projects, including requirements gathering, system configuration, testing, training, and go-live support
- Partner with department leads (production, inventory, procurement, finance) to map current business processes and identify gaps or improvements during implementation
- Configure ERP modules (e.g., manufacturing orders, inventory management, procurement, BOM/routing) to align with operational requirements
- Manage data migration from legacy systems, including data cleansing, mapping, and validation
- Develop and execute test plans, including unit, integration, and user acceptance testing
- Create and deliver end-user training materials and documentation
- Troubleshoot system issues post-implementation and coordinate with vendors or internal IT for resolution
- Identify opportunities for process automation and system optimization using built-in ERP tools and custom reporting
- Serve as a liaison between business users and technical teams (developers, DBAs) for custom integrations or reports
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of experience implementing or supporting ERP systems in a manufacturing or operations environment
- Strong understanding of core ERP functional areas: inventory control, manufacturing orders, procurement, and order fulfillment
- Experience with SQL and relational databases for reporting, data validation, or troubleshooting
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage timelines, stakeholders, and competing priorities
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical users
Preferred Qualifications
- Direct experience with Infor ERP product lines (4th Shift, Syteline, etc.).
- Direct experience with Acumatica, Epicor, and or NetSuite.
- Familiarity with VB.NET, ASP.NET, or other tools used to extend or customize ERP functionality
- Experience with SSRS, Power BI or similar reporting tools
- Background in discrete or batch manufacturing environments
- PMP, Six Sigma, or similar certifications
