Job description

We are seeking a dynamic, highly skilled Proposal Solutions Architect to lead the design and presentation of technical solutions for federal agency proposals. In this role, you’ll serve as the bridge between capture, proposal, engineering, and partner teams, translating agency requirements into compelling, compliant proposals that showcase our cloud and enterprise software solutions. Your technical architecture expertise, combined with strong client-facing communication, will drive proposal wins and build lasting relationships with federal agencies, including the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and other civilian agencies. This position offers the opportunity to shape strategic pursuits and deliver impactful technical presentations in a fast-paced, collaborative environment., * Collaborate with capture and proposal teams to understand agency requirements and craft tailored technical solutions that highlight our capabilities and value proposition

  • Design comprehensive technical architectures using cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure, and low-code/no-code tools, to meet agency specifications
  • Conduct technical presentations and solution demonstrations to support orals, gate reviews, and evaluator Q&A
  • Support pre-proposal and capture activities with expert guidance on solution deployment, network architecture, and system integration
  • Develop clear, detailed documentation of proposed solutions, including architecture diagrams, implementation plans, and technical specifications
  • Partner cross-functionally with engineering, delivery, and program teams to ensure proposed solutions align with technical standards and agency expectations
  • Address technical evaluation questions and strengthen proposal competitiveness through well-supported, defensible solution narratives
  • Translate technical approach into a basis of estimate (BOE) and Level of Effort (LOE)
  • Incorporate artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning components into proposed technical solutions where they add measurable value for the agency
  • Use AI tools to speed up proposal development, including drafting, compliance checks, and content reuse, while maintaining accuracy and compliance

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in solution architecture or technical proposal development, federal contracting experience strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and virtualization technologies (VMware)
  • Proficiency with SAFe, DevSecOps and other industry forward delivery models
  • Working knowledge of computer networking concepts (TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls, load balancing)
  • Proficiency with low-code/no-code platforms (e.g., Power Platform, Appian, ServiceNow)
  • Experience designing AI-enabled solutions (e.g., machine learning, generative AI, intelligent automation) for enterprise or government clients
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, or similar) to speed up proposal writing, compliance review, or content development
  • Direct experience writing winning technical narratives for federal procurements
  • Working knowledge of formal proposal processes (Shipley or equivalent)
  • Excellent analytical skills to assess agency requirements and develop tailored technical solutions
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for technical presentations to diverse audiences, including government evaluators
  • Strong project management skills to coordinate multiple proposals simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
  • Eligible to work on U.S. federal contracts, * Experience with federal agency IT contract vehicles
  • Civilian agency proposal experience, VA specifically a plus
  • Cloud solutions architect certification (AWS, Azure, or equivalent)
  • PMP, SAFe or CISSP certification
  • Experience supporting orals or live demonstrations
