Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field. Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master’s degree plus 3 years of job-related experience. Agile experience preferred.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:
As the Model-Based Systems Engineer Architect for Nuclear Command, Control and Communications (NC3), you’ll be a member of a cross-functional team responsible for leading the design and development of complex systems using Model-Based Systems Engineering methodologies. in support of the next generation of Strategic Weapon Systems.
We encourage you to apply if you have extensive hands-on experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), Systems and Test Engineering, Requirements Management, and Agile Development.
What Sets You Apart:
- Experience in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), including direct hands-on experience with industry-leading MBSE tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler
- Experience as an MBSE Architect
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain SysML models, including behavioral, structural, and requirements diagrams
- Experience applying MBSE to architect complex systems, including functional decomposition, interface definition, and trade study analysis
- Clear understanding of systems engineering concepts, principles, theories, and technical standards with an MBSE-first mindset
- Proficiency in requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS, DOORS Next Generation) and their integration with system models
- Experience working within DoDAF or similar architecture frameworks to support digital engineering initiatives
- Creative thinker who can leverage MBSE models to quickly communicate complex system designs and handle increasing responsibilities with growing complexity
- Team player who thrives in collaborative environments and champions MBSE adoption across cross-functional teams
- Commitment to ongoing professional development, particularly in advancing MBSE practices and digital engineering capabilities
- Identifies opportunities to apply MBSE and AI-driven approaches for continuous improvement and innovation
