Job description

Solution One Industries, Inc. is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to support the U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) Special Operations Forces - Global Logistics Support Services (SOF GLSS) contract. This position supports mission-critical logistics, maintenance, and sustainment systems by designing, developing, and maintaining secure, scalable software and database solutions that enable operational readiness across the global Special Operations enterprise.

The Software Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, documenting, testing, and maintaining software applications and Microsoft SQL Server databases while following industry best practices and secure software development methodologies throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

  • Plan, conduct, coordinate, and execute Microsoft SQL Server database development activities.
  • Design, develop, document, and maintain database architectures for new and existing software applications.
  • Develop secure, scalable, and maintainable software solutions using modern programming languages and frameworks.
  • Apply software engineering standards, development processes, procedures, and tools throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Analyze business and mission requirements and translate them into technical software solutions.
  • Troubleshoot software defects, database issues, and system performance problems.
  • Correct program errors and implement enhancements to improve application functionality.

  • Prepare technical documentation, operating instructions, and software development artifacts.
  • Analyze system capabilities to resolve issues involving program intent, output requirements, and data acquisition.
  • Optimize SQL queries, database performance, and application efficiency.
  • Collaborate with engineers, system administrators, cybersecurity personnel, and government stakeholders to deliver mission-critical software solutions.
  • Ensure software solutions comply with Department of Defense cybersecurity and secure coding requirements., Solution One Industries maintains a drug-free workplace and performs preemployment drug testing and background checks, where permitted by law.
