Job description

Responsible for administering the acquisition, management, and compliance of software licenses across the enterprise, ensuring that all licenses are compliant with legal requirements, in compliance with license agreements, and that assets are used in a planned manner. Brief Description of the Position - (Brief description of the activities of the position, in a succinct way, with the use of verbs in the impersonal infinitive): Manage the software license acquisition process, including contract negotiations, license terms review, and vendor selection. Maintain an accurate inventory of all software licenses in the organization. Ensure that the organization is in compliance with the terms and conditions of software license agreements. Activities and Responsibilities (Detailed description of the activities of the position):

  • Manage the software license acquisition process, including contract negotiations, license terms review, and vendor selection.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of all software licenses in the organization, including details on expiration dates, license types, and serial numbers.
  • Ensure that the organization is compliant with the terms and conditions of software license agreements, avoiding copyright infringements and legal fines.
  • Identify opportunities for cost optimization, such as effective use of volume licenses, contract renegotiations, and acquisitions of licenses that are appropriate to the company’s needs.
  • Conduct internal audits of software licenses to verify compliance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide training and awareness on software licensing policies to employees and areas of the company.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with software vendors, ensuring that products and services are delivered as agreed.
  • Produce regular reports on the status of software licenses, usage and costs for management.
  • Monitor and manage software license renewals, ensuring that updates and payments are made on time.
