Requirements

  • Reliable transportation: Dependable vehicle and valid driver’s license to travel to job sites across Wake County and Eastern NC.
  • Hands-on aptitude: Comfortable using hand tools and power tools, and working on ladders in residential and commercial spaces.
  • Basic networking knowledge: Familiarity with RJ45 termination, basic IP networking concepts, or structured cabling is highly preferred.
  • Strong work ethic: Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Professional presentation: Clear communication with team members and professional behavior on customer sites.

Preferred backgrounds (not required):

  • Construction or general trades
  • Low-voltage wiring or alarm/security systems
  • HVAC or building services
  • Basic IT support or help desk experience

Schedule & Availability

  • On-call, project-based work scheduled as jobs are assigned.
  • Hours may vary week-to-week depending on project load; ideal for someone looking for flexible, part-time work.

What You’ll Do

  • Physical installation: Run, route, and terminate network cabling (Cat6, Coax, Fiber) in commercial and residential environments.
  • Hardware mounting: Install network racks, patch panels, wireless access points (APs), and security cameras.
  • Testing & troubleshooting: Use basic testing equipment to verify cable continuity and network connectivity.
  • Collaboration: Work alongside our lead technicians to complete projects cleanly, safely, and on schedule.
